Hahei, on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, is located right next to the world famous Cathedral Cove and is 15 minutes away from the ‘hot water beach tourist attraction’.
Hahei has stunning pink shell beaches with protected marine reserve. Very close are Cooks Beach, Lonely Bay, Flaxmill Bay and Shakespeare Cliff.
At the northern end of the beach is Grange Road and access to Cathedral Cove, and at the southern end is Te Pare Historic Reserve (once the site of two Maori Pa).
The township of Whitianga is approximately a 25 minutes drive North. You can also take the passenger ferry from Ferry Landing.
